Manenberg Aftercare Centre - Our Team
Since the beginning of 2012, the Centre has been run by a board consisting of Manenberg residents and other committed people, with Fr Wim Lindeque as the chairperson.
Paid staff consists of the Programme Coordinator, seven facilitators and the three cooks. All staff members live in Manenberg; so they have insight into the situations the children find themselves in. A social worker provides individual sessions with children when they are experiencing problems, and a community health worker assists in teaching the children basic hygiene and health skills. Both are sponsored by HOPE Cape Town.
